1990年生まれの音楽プロデューサー・DJ。2007年頃よりtofubeatsとしての活動をスタート。2013年に「水星 feat.オノマトペ大臣」を収録した自主制作アルバム「lost decade」をリリース。同年、森高千里をゲストボーカルに迎えた「Don't Stop The Music feat.森高千里」でワーナーミュージック・ジャパンからメジャーデビュー。その後、6枚のフルアルバムの他多数の音源をリリース。ソロでの楽曲リリースやDJ・ライブ活動はじめ、さまざまなアーティストのプロデュース・客演、映画・ドラマ・CM等への楽曲提供から書籍の出版まで音楽を軸に多岐に渡る活動を続けている。最新作はTBSラジオ「アフター6ジャンクション」内で急遽スタートさせたラジオドラマ「寿司スナイパーオカミ」のサウンドトラック『寿司スナイパーオカミ Original Sound Tracks』。収録曲「心のターゲット」のMVはスタジオ石が監督した。今年10月から11月にかけては、全国5都市6公演をめぐるジャパンツアー「tofubeats JAPAN TOUR 2025」を開催。2025年、主宰レーベル／マネジメント会社HIHATTは10周年を迎える。

Born in 1990, tofubeats is a music producer and DJ based in Japan. He began releasing music under his moniker around 2007, gaining early attention for his DIY approach and prolific online output.

Since then, he has released six full-length albums ― First Album (2014), Positive (2015), Fantasy Club (2017), RUN (2018), REFLECTION (2022), and NOBODY (2024). Widely regarded as a conceptual high point in his discography, Fantasy Club was praised by Pitchfork for its introspective vision and futuristic sound. His latest album, NOBODY, features AI-generated vocals and delves into the evolving relationship between humanity and technology.

His notable tracks include “Lonely Nights” (with 30M+ views on YouTube) and “Suisei (Mercury)” (with over 18M views), both of which have become modern classics of Japanese electronic pop.

Known for his genre-blending approach, tofubeats draws from hip-hop, house, J-pop, and experimental sounds, while maintaining a strong melodic sense and emotional depth. In addition to his solo releases, DJ sets, and live performances, he has produced and collaborated with a wide range of artists, contributed music for films, TV dramas, commercials, and published a book.
